Grant Writing

Grant Writing

Grant proposal writing is an additional service provided through the SCF to assist local organizations with their grant seeking efforts.

Our staff is available to work with Scott County non profit organizations. Assistance is provided to help develop community projects, collaborate with other organizations, and assist with finding funding sources outside of Scott County.

These outside funding sources may be either government grant opportunities or monies provided by other philanthropic foundations across the state and nation.

Requests for assistance must be for charitable or philanthropic purposes that agree with the SCF mission. In addition, projects must primarily benefit Scott County or the communities in the surrounding area, and organizations that practice discrimination on the basis or race, color, creed, sex, age, or national origin are not eligible for assistance.

Contact Pat Baughman for more information or assistance.

In addition to helping non profits seek outside funding, SCF also provides its own grants for local projects. The Grant Making section of this site provides additional information on how your organization may apply for funds directly from SCF.
