Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Updated: Nov 21

Letter from the Scott Community Foundation Director, Ryan Roberts

As we celebrate the 24th year of the Scott Community Foundation, we have some time to reflect on the past year in our community. Even during our struggling economic times, the Scott Community has stepped up for a record-breaking year in giving revenue to assist with community projects, scholarships, and grants. As the Executive Director of your Community Foundation, I have spent the last 16 years assisting with projects, grants, and scholarships. My staff and I continue to be amazed by our community's generosity and support.

As we enter the holiday season, please keep those struggling individuals and organizations who need support in your hearts and minds. If you need any help or direction with year-end donations, please do not hesitate to contact myself or the staff here at the Scott Community Foundation.

Remember your compassion, generosity, and creativity in supporting the Scott Community Foundation as we continue to help numerous non-profits, residents, and our schools.

Thank you again and Happy Holidays!

Ryan Roberts

Your Year in Review 2024

As we reflect on the incredible progress and achievements of the past year, we are filled with gratitude for the support and generosity that have made 2024 such a landmark year for our community. Thanks to your unwavering dedication, we have been able to make a lasting impact across Scott City and beyond.

This year, the 8th Annual Giving Day was a resounding success, raising a total of $261,992.58. These funds are a testament to the power of our community coming together to support meaningful initiatives.

Among the many initiatives funded, we were thrilled to assist with the new artificial turf football field for the Scott City Beavers. This state-of-the-art facility will provide our students and athletes with a top-tier space to practice, compete, and thrive for years to come.

The scholarship program is continuing to grow! We are proud to announce that over $175,000 in local scholarships were awarded to deserving Scott City High School students and continuing education students. These scholarships will help pave the way for a bright future, enabling our youth to pursue higher education and career opportunities.

Our commitment to community development goes beyond scholarships. As part of our ongoing effort to support local organizations, we were able to award $40,000 in grants to 25 local organizations through our general and youth grant cycles. These funds will help fuel projects and programs that strengthen the fabric of our community, from educational initiatives to youth development, healthcare, and so much more.

One of the events held this year was our Women for Women gathering, hosted at Act II at the Majestic. This event brought together an incredible group of women from our community for an evening of inspiration, connection, and empowerment. The night featured a short program followed by a special video speaker, Nicole Campos. We also enjoyed live music from Jason and Rebekah Williams. We look forward to hosting this event again!

None of this would be possible without the incredible generosity of our donors, volunteers, and community leaders who continue to invest in the future of Scott City. We are deeply grateful for your partnership and for the positive change, you help bring to our community.

As we look to the future, we are excited to continue building on this momentum and working together to create even more opportunities for growth, innovation, and support. Thank you for being a part of our mission and for helping make 2024 a year to remember.

Wishing you all a happy and prosperous New Year!
