Letter from the Scott Community Foundation Director, Ryan Roberts

As we celebrate the 25th year of the Scott Community Foundation, we have some time to reflect on the past year in our community. Even during our struggling economic times, the Scott Community has stepped up for a record-breaking year in giving revenue to assist with community projects, scholarships, and grants. As the Executive Director of your Community Foundation, I have spent the last 17 years assisting with projects, grants, and scholarships.

My staff and I continue to be amazed by our community's generosity and support.

As we enter the holiday season, please keep those struggling individuals and organizations who need support in your hearts and minds. If you need any help or direction with year-end donations, please do not hesitate to contact myself or the staff here at the Scott Community Foundation.

Remember your compassion, generosity, and creativity in supporting the Scott Community Foundation as we continue to help numerous non-profits, residents, and our schools.

Thank you again and Happy Holidays!

Ryan Roberts

Your Year in Review 2025

As we reflect on the meaningful progress and milestones of 2025, we are filled with deep gratitude for the generosity, partnership, and community spirit that made this year one to remember. Because of your continued support, we were able to make a lasting impact throughout Scott County and the momentum continues to grow.

A Record-Breaking Giving Day

This year’s 9th Annual Giving Day was our most successful yet! With a total of $290,779.41 raised, our community once again demonstrated the incredible power of giving. Thank you, Scott Community, for your continued generosity, excitement, and support. The impact of this day touches so many groups, organizations, and projects across our county.

Expanding Opportunities Through Scholarships

Education remained at the heart of our mission. In 2025, we proudly awarded $198,875 in scholarships to Scott City High School graduates and continuing education students. These funds help open doors to higher education, workforce training, and future career paths ensuring our local students have every opportunity to pursue their goals.

Supporting Local Organizations

This year, our commitment to community development continued through grants that strengthened local nonprofits, youth programs, and community initiatives. Over $40,000 was awarded to organizations throughout the Scott community, helping support projects that make a lasting difference.

Celebrating Women’s Night Out & Looking Ahead

This year’s Women’s Night Out brought together an amazing group of women for an evening of connection and community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event a success.

The Women for Women Fund continued its impact in 2025 by supporting local grants, tuition assistance, hygiene supplies for students, FFA scarves, and opportunities through Hope’s Closet.

As the year wraps up, we invite you to consider a year-end gift or becoming a Women for Women member to help us continue empowering women and girls in Scott County.

Looking Ahead to 2026

None of this would be possible without the incredible generosity of our donors, volunteers, and community leaders. Your support helps with every scholarship awarded, every grant given, and every project completed.

As we move into the new year, we look forward to building on this momentum creating even more opportunities for growth, innovation, and community impact.

Thank you for making 2025 a year of progress, connection, and hope. Wishing you all a joyful holiday season and a prosperous New Year!
